quote of the day

"...abandon all your senses to pleasure, let it be the one object, the one god of your existence... nothing must be as holy as pleasure"

-marquis de sade

remember boys and girls, art is pleasure.

this article combines three of my favorite things: culture-jamming, resident evil, and bush-hating, making it some kind of holy trinity of goodness.

dumb brit celeb declares himself smarter than michaelangelo

it's a well-known fact that michaelangelo sculpted david with the view-from-below perspective in mind, making his topmost parts bigger than the ones below it. recently carb-counting "pilates guru" alan herdman ignorantly declared that michaelangelo "had it all wrong", and then went on to expertly explain how he'd have done it better. what an ass.

freak animals

i ran across an article a while back about an ape that walks on its hind legs, and this one today that describes a gimp dog in the u.k. that does the same thing.

so now we have all these animals running around on two legs like some kind of hairy special olympics. someone should teach them how to hold cocktails and smoke.

cannibal mouse

i found this going on in the snake food cage this morning. one of the mice apparently developed a sudden taste for brains and leapt upon another, devouring it mercilessly. bosh suggested i add a guitar solo to the video and sell it and the mouse on ebay as some sort of freak curiousity. personally i'm too frightened to go near it.

i think i'll keep this one.
